Anchors: John Bryan State Park

John Bryan State Park, located 25 minutes outside of Dayton, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, offers a great historic crag for top rope climbing and rappelling adventures. However, it requires the use of extended anchor systems. This anchor scenario tends to be an unfamiliar one for most climbers used to climbing at traditional sport crags. In this course we teach required knots, necessary gear, and how to properly build extended anchor systems on fixed protection using static line or cordelette, specific to the climbing and anchor scenarios at John Bryan State Park. In this course we start to dive into basic rope systems and the basic principle of anchor building and would be best suited for those already experienced in climbing and belaying.

Duration: 1 day (10 hours)
